The Catholic University Music Education Program is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music (NASM). Completing the program successfully qualifies you to be eligible to apply for licensure. All students eligible to apply for licensure in the District of Columbia are required to pass mandatory exams.

The Praxis® tests measure the academic skills and subject-specific content knowledge needed for teaching. The Praxis tests are taken by individuals entering the teaching profession as part of the certification process required by many states and professional licensing organizations.
