Acceptance into the Departments of Music is a two-fold process. You must apply for acceptance into the University, as well as audition for your program of interest. Auditions can be done before, after, or concurrently with the application to the University. An application does not necessarily need to be submitted before auditioning, except in the case of Early Admission, but it is highly encouraged.

Admission to performance, composition, and education music academic areas requires both admission to the University and passing the audition. Entrance into the Bachelor of Arts degree programs in music does not require an audition, but students are invited to audition if they would like to be considered for a music scholarship. Please contact the Office of Admission for application deadlines.

All applicants who audition (both in person or online) are considered for a music scholarship.
