Emily Bell (Ph.D., University of Florida, M.A., Florida State University, B.M., Oberlin College-Conservatory of Music) has been an adjunct professor of musicology at Catholic University since 2015. She has a keen interest in 20th-century musical trends, especially related to the World Wars, and has contributed articles to publications including Studies in Jewish Civilization and The SAGE International Encyclopedia of Music and Culture.
Professor Bell enjoys presenting her research at regional and national conferences, singing within her community (most recently with the Annapolis Opera), and volunteering with The Smithsonian Associates.
