  • Robert Beeson (D.M.A. the University of Maryland, MM Northwestern University, BM the University of Delaware) is a saxophonist and educator. A member of The United States Army Band Pershing’s Own, Dr. Beeson has performed throughout the United States and Europe in a variety of venues to include the Kennedy Center, The Meyerson Symphony Center, The Grand Ole Opry, Avery Fisher Hall, and Carnegie Hall. Robert has been featured as a soloist with The United States Army Concert Band, Orchestra and the United States Army Blues Jazz Ensemble numerous times throughout his three decades with the band.

    Dr. Beeson Has maintained an active performing and teaching schedule throughout the region having performed with The Delaware Symphony, Fairfax, Arlington, and Prince William Symphonies. He is a regular saxophonist with the Maryland Symphony in Hagerstown, Maryland and most recently performed with The Baltimore Symphony under maestro Marin Alsop at Meyerhoff Symphony Hall and the Strathmore Music Center. In addition to these classical engagements Robert is active as a freelance jazz saxophonist performing with local jazz and pop groups throughout the Baltimore- Washington Metropolitan area. Dr. Beeson teaches applies saxophone and Woodwind Techniques at Catholic University and resides in Calvert County and with his wife Marilyn, two children Tristan and Marina and two Boston Terriers.
