Drawing upon a distinguished tradition of musicological study, the Musicology Area offers you a multitude of opportunities to explore the historical and cultural background of music through the ages.

We offer a wide variety of undergraduate and graduate courses that comprise key components of Catholic University's degrees in music at all levels.  Our faculty of active researchers, the presence of our Latin American Center for Graduate Studies in Music, and  our proximity to Washington institutions like the Library of Congress and the Smithsonian provide the resources you need to become a 21st-century musical scholar.
