Rob Craven has been performing with the U.S. Army Band “Pershing's Own” since 1998. The D.C. based US Army Band is among the Army’s premier performing ensembles, in which he regularly plays principal horn as part of the Concert Band and Army Orchestra, as well as being active with many of the groups chamber ensembles. Prior to joining the band he held a position with the international La Filharmonica de Queretaro based in the Capitol region of Mexico. He earned degrees from the Eastman school of Music, where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Music and the Eastman School Performer's Certificate, and a Master's degree from The Juilliard School of Music. Prior to teaching at The Catholic University of America, Rob Craven taught Horn at Georgetown University, as well as Mary Washington University. He lives in Alexandria, Virginia with his wife Kendra, and children Benjamin and Claudia.
