The School of Music offers an active-duty military musician tuition discount program for part-time candidates for the degrees Master of Music, Master of Arts, Doctor of Musical Arts, and Doctor of Philosophy.

Students receive up to seven credits per semester at a 50% tuition discount. To remain eligible for the 50% tuition discount, students must fulfill curricular requirements specified by the School of Music.

Degrees are available in instrumental performance, vocal performance and pedagogy, piano performance and pedagogy, musicology, theory/composition, and sacred music.

Guidelines: A verification letter from the recipient's band conductor or commanding officer verifying that the student is an active-duty member of the band/orchestra of his/her branch must accompany this scholarship request form in order to be processed. This verification of active-duty status must be provided each semester and is due on or before the first day of the semester. For the fall semester, the scholarship recipient must be active from August 15 through December 15; for the spring semester, the scholarship recipient must be active from January 1 through May 15.
